Everton striker James Vaughan may have wrecked Crystal Palace's survival hopes - by smashing his hand.
Striker Vaughan was so infuriated by Palace's home defeat to rivals Scunthorpe United that he took his frustration out in the most painful way - breaking his hand when he punched a dressing room wall in anger, says the Mirror.
Now Palace are likely to be without the on-loan Everton hit-man for their crucial run-in, a major loss for manager Dougie Freedman who talked him into the Selhurst switch.
Palace insiders revealed that Vaughan has "suffered a bad one".
Doctors will take a look at the full damage today - but he is not expected to be available for a month.
