Everton striker Romelu Lukaku says Paul Pogba's move to Manchester United had "nothing to do with money".
The pair were holidaying in LA when Pogba learned Juventus had sold him to United for a world record €100 million.
Lukaku recalled to RMC: "I was there at the hotel, when Paul signed for Manchester United. There were maybe ten people around him with towels and contracts inside.
"I've known Paul for many years but I've never seen him with such a face, I've never seen him so happy once everything has been signed.
"It was a relief, a real happiness for him. During the holidays, we talked only once of football. Around the pool in Los Angeles, he told me about his dream of returning to Manchester United.
"I understood what it meant to him. This return to Manchester United, it has nothing to do with money."
