Everton's on-loan Manchester City striker Jo has revealed he could have been playing for Manchester United.

Jo was watched by United when coming through at Corinthians and confirmed: "A United scout from the club saw me in the youth divisions at home and tried to take me with him to England but Corinthians refused.

"I stayed because I liked Corinthians and I signed a new deal."
