New Everton striker Samuel Eto'o says there's no doubting the ambition of Romelu Lukaku.
Eto'o was asked if he'd be acting as a mentor for the Belgian - just as he did for Mario Balotelli at Inter Milan.
He said: "Mario had a lot of arms around the shoulders from team-mates like Marco Materazzi, Patrick Vieira, Javier Zanetti and myself. I don't think Romelu requires the same support from his team-mates.
"Lots of people make errors in their young lives which are later corrected and I think Mario has done some growing up as a player and as a person, so we'll see. I don't think he should be made to pay for his earlier sins.
"He is a person with lots of great qualities, not only footballing ones."
