Everton striker Apostolos Vellios is delighted with the praise won after his performance in defeat to Philadelphia Union.
Both Everton manager David Moyes and skipper Phil Neville spoke highly of Vellios after the friendly.
Vellios, known in the squad as Tolis, told evertontv: "This gives me more confidence to continue working hard and to be even more concentrated on what I am doing.
"I felt very good. I saw some players were injured two or three days before the game so I had hopes to play in the game. The team was tired but that is normal because we have been training hard."
