Everton striker Victor Anichebe wants a place in Nigeria's 2010 World Cup squad next year.

"Playing in the Olympics was a bit different because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity (because it's an Under-23 tournament) but the World Cup comes round every four years," he told evertonTV. "Playing in the Olympics was an unbelievable experience but if I could get into the World Cup squad that would be unbelievable as well.

"It's in Africa as well, so it's going to be even more special. But we need to get there first so we'll see."
