Everton haven't dropped their interest in FC Twente midfielder Leroy Fer.

A deal in January fell through over the method of payment for Fer's transfer fee.

Sky Sports says Everton watched him on the weekend against Vitesse Arnhem.

Fer himself admits that he still has a high regard for Everton, and told Algemeen Dagblad: "It is still a fantastic club. But at the moment I am not thinking about it.

"Only one thing counts right now: ending the season at FC Twente in a good way."
