Everton are ready to step in for Swansea City fullback Neil Taylor.
The Daily Star Sunday says mindful that a big bid could still come in for Baines, Everton have been eyeing Swansea left-back Taylor, who also interests Newcastle United coach Alan Pardew.
Toon have seen their deal for Taylor stall over compensation demands.
Rather than push for an agreement, Newcastle have reportedly left the dilemma with Taylor's legal team.
