Kevin Mirallas has admitted that his beginning to life as an Everton player has exceeded his expectations.
The Belgian attacker has fitted in well to David Moyes' system at Goodison Park and is enjoying his role with the Toffees who are surprisingly sitting second on the Premier League table after six matches.
"It's going a lot better than I could have hoped for," the former Olympiakos man told the club's official website. "The settling-in period has been a lot shorter than I thought it was going to be.
"That's because of various reasons. My teammates are really cool with me, they have been great with me. They talk to me a lot and support me a lot.
"The other big factor is that I've spent a lot more time on the field and played in more games than I thought I might have done at first."
And Mirallas admits that he is up to speed with how some defenders in England's top flight like to play and he has that in his mind when out on the pitch making attacking runs for his side.
"I knew before I signed about the physical aspect of the Premier League," he added. "I was mentally prepared for that before I even came here.
"One of the advantages of the way I play is that I am quick, so I try to avoid those hard challenges that skilful players with ability like myself tend to attract."
