Kevin Mirallas took a pragmatic approach regarding Roberto Martinez's move into national team management.
The Spaniard was appointed as Belgium boss at the beginning of August in what surprised many, especially considering he had only been sacked by Everton months earlier.
But Toffees winger Mirallas, who is the first Red Devils squad named by Martinez, suggests the element of surprise is not so evident due to the fact the 43-year-old is an accomplished coach.
"Yes and no," said Mirallas when asked by Sky Sports News HQ if he was taken aback by the appointment.
"Yes because after he finished with Everton he's got a job with a national team after two months, but no because he's a good manager and he knows football."
