Everton star Lukaku open to shock Chelsea return

Romelu Lukaku is believed to be considering a sensational return to Chelsea.

According to the Daily Express, the Everton star is open to a move back to Stamford Bridge as he feels he has unfinished business with the club.

Belgian striker Lukaku joined Chelsea from Anderlecht in 2011 but failed to live up to expectations in West London and was subsequently loaned to West Bromwich Albion for the 2012/13 campaign before moving to Everton in a temporarily deal the following season.

Lukaku was then sold to the Toffees for £28million in the summer of 2014 and has flourished at Goodison Park, scoring a total of 61 goals in 121 appearances, including 18 in the league this term.

That form has attracted the interest of Manchester United but according to the report, 22-year-old Lukaku has told friends he would be prepared to move back to Chelsea even though they will not be competing in the Champions League in 2016/17.

It is believed that Chelsea, if interested, would have to part with £65m for Lukaku who is also on the radar of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
