Everton skipper Phil Neville feels Chelsea's John Terry was hard-done by over his red card during their 0-0 draw.

"From where I was, it looked like a good, old-fashioned tackle but you can't seem to do that anymore these days," Neville told evertonfc.com.

"I actually thought the referee did very well. They will complain that he (Dowd) did not book any Everton players but we didn't lose our discipline, did we?

"Any grievances they have got must be with the referee, as we didn't bully them or use overzealous tactics. We tried to do everything properly.

"He also made a big call against us in disallowing a goal from Steven (Pienaar) and that decision was proven to be spot on."
