Everton skipper Phil Neville isn't bothered about missing out on a move to Tottenham in January.
Spurs tried twice to land Neville during the winter market.
"It was quite simple really," Neville told evertonc.com. "Tottenham came in with a bid for me and Everton said 'no'. As Everton captain I was in a great position, I knew that and I love playing for this Club.
"Everton were open and honest with me, they told me all about it. It was an opportunity for me to go and play Champions League football.
"The Club told me all about it but also said that I was the captain and they wanted me to stay and that is it really. End of story and we move on."
