Everton skipper Phil Neville admits the signing of a new contract by David Moyes has settled everyone down.
"I never really thought that the manager situation had affected us in any way and then when he signed his contract it seemed that the whole club settled down and started hitting form," he told evertonfc.com. "I'm not saying it's because of that but over the summer there was a little bit of uncertainty with the manager's contract, the players we were signing and the new stadium and you've seen with clubs in the past that it does affect teams on the pitch as well.
"It shouldn't do, but it does tend to spiral onto the pitch as well, but we're settled now and we're looking forward to the second half of the season."
