Everton skipper Phil Neville was impressed by Denis Stracqualursi in their draw with Norwich City.

The Argentine was handed a 30 minute runout against the Canaries and turned in muscular performance as Everton searched for an equaliser.

"The substitutions were crucial," Neville told evertontv. "The game had hit a bit of a lull and Roy and Denis coming on was key.

"I thought Denis was outstanding. He won every header, he occupied the back four, he caused problems and fought for every ball."

Neville said Stracqualursi's praise was just reward for the attitude he has shown in training.

"The boys appreciated it because while he may not have had too many opportunities he has come in to training every day and worked his socks off," Neville continued.

"When you work as hard as he does you get your rewards.

"We have to keep together and the wins will come."
