Everton skipper Phil Neville admits he grew up idolising cricketers.
Neville was an outstanding junior cricketer before signing pro with Manchester United.
He told the Daily Mail: "I was massively into cricket when I was younger and Sir Ian Botham was my idol. He was a natural entertainer. I used to play in the same team as Freddie Flintoff and he had all the same qualities as Botham.
"It's my favourite sport and I played for Lancashire's second XI when I was 15. When I finish playing football, I'm going to join a local club."
