Everton forward Cenk Tosun has revealed that he is honoured to have become the most expensive Turkish player.
Tosun completed his transfer from Besiktas to the Toffees earlier this month for a fee of £27 million, which has made him Turkey's most expensive player.
The German-born forward made his debut last weekend as his side were thrashed 4-0 by Tottenham, but he will be expected to score goals going forward.
"It doesn't put a lot of pressure on me to be honest, it's actually a great honour," he said.
"I would like to become a good role model to the other players in Turkey.
"There are some great players in Turkey but it's difficult to make the breakthrough so I would like to open the door for them."
