Romelu Lukaku says Samuel Eto'o's arrival at Chelsea did not influence his move away to Everton.
The striker has signed with Everton on a season-long loan.
"Samuel Eto'o signing for Chelsea didn't influence my decision, because I was already behind Fernando Torres in the pecking order anyway," he said.
"I am looking forward to playing again, and that penalty miss against Bayern has not affected my confidence. I drove straight home afterwards, because I had to clear my head. It was the worst thing that could have happened to me, but I was able to smile again the next day. My team-mates talked to me a lot at the time, and that helped."
