Davy Klaassen wants to win the Europa League this season.

The Dutchman's 2016/17 campaign ended on a sour note after his former side Ajax - who he captained - lost in the competition final against Manchester United.

However, after Everton's seventh placed finish last season, Klaassen is determined to guide his new club to the final.

"That would be a really nice way to end my first season at Everton," he said.

"It was a great experience [last year]. The further you go in the competition, the greater it becomes.

"It was a great experience for us as a young team and I think we all learned a lot from it."
