Everton boss David Moyes has signalled his ambitions with a £12.5 million offer for Steven Defour.

The Daily Mail says Everton have had a £12.5million bid for Standard Liege midfielder Defour turned down by the Belgian club.

Manager David Moyes has been delighted with Marouane Fellaini who joined Everton from Standard last summer.

He returned to Standard for Defour who said: 'I don't know how high the bid was but for now I just wait quietly. I feel good at Standard, especially now we are in the Champions League."
