Everton will go after Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart before the summer transfer window closes.
The Daily Mail is reporting that internal discussions at Goodison Park have commenced over the possibility of luring Hart from the Etihad Stadium to Goodison Park.
Rumours are rife that England international Hart is unwanted by City boss Pep Guardiola and will certainly be sold if they are successful in their pursuit of Barcelona's Claudio Bravo.
Toffees manager Ronald Koeman is intent on adding more players to the squad he inherited from Roberto Martinez and new majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is willing to spend up to grant the Dutchman his wish.
Hart was left on the bench for City's Premier League season opener against Sunderland on Saturday ands is believed to be very unhappy with his current situation.
Maarten Stekelenburg impressed in Everton's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on the weekend, casting some sort of doubt over the proposed chase for Hart, but it is being reported that the Merseyside club are mulling over a move for the 29-year-old.
An additional report from the Daily Express suggests that Spanish club Sevilla are also looking to sign Hart.
