Everton are moving for Real Madrid defender Diego Llorente.

Marca says Real Sociedad were closing in on the £7m signing of Llorente, 23.

However Everton are said to have asked Real Madrid to hear their offer.

The Toffees are apparently willing to pay around £12m to take him to Goodison Park.

Llorente spent last season on loan at Malaga.

He made 27 appearances during his time there, scoring two goals in the process.
