Everton season-ticket holder Kathy tells Distin: We want passion

Everton season-ticket holder Kathy Keig has responded to Sylvain Distin after the Frenchman spoke with one fan at the end of their draw against Crystal Palace.

Distin has pleaded for patience from Everton fans as they continue to adjust to manager Roberto Martinez's methods.

Kathy told the Daily Mail: "I go to every home and away game and Palace is the worst ground to get to. It was a horrendous journey, kick-off was delayed because the traffic was terrible.

"So you could say there was frustration from the start. It was a disappointing game. We had 71 per cent possession and it felt like we were playing a passing game without an end product. There was no sense of urgency.

"We have had a change of manager and style. We were known as a pressing team. Roberto Martinez wants to have a patient, passing game and it's very different.

"We are used to seeing players get into faces. It seems we have lost that aggression.

"I could never bring myself to boo an Everton player but I was frustrated too. The fans have a right to express their opinion. Distin has a great rapport with the supporters.

"I think both sides made the comments out of frustration.

"His game fell below the high standards he sets himself and the same could be said about his team-mates. It was a bad day all round."
