Goalscorer Steven Naismith was hoping Everton could maintain their current form and edge their way into the Premier League top four.
The Scotland international scored the opening goal as the Toffees beat Arsenal 3-0 on Sunday to move within a point of the fourth-placed Gunners.
Everton have a game in hand on Arsenal, giving them the advantage, and although Naismith would love to achieve the feat, he is remaining cam on what is to come.
"It would mean everything," he told Sky Sports.
"We've believed from the start of the season and it just shows in these performances so we just need to concentrate on next week and hopefully get the points in."
Everton will now get ready for next weekend's trip to bottom-of-the-table Sunderland.
