Everton's Howard: I feel like a proud big brother watching Norwich's Ruddy succeed

Everton custodian Tim Howard has revealed that Norwich City gloveman John Ruddy is one of his favourite goalkeepers.

25-year old Ruddy has emerged as the Canaries' number one shot-stopper since moving on from Goodison Park in 2010 and USA international Howard has praised him ahead of this weekend's meeting between the clubs.

"In my career I have worked with a lot of goalkeepers and he has been one of my favourites to work with, probably up there with my favourite goalkeeper," he told evertontv.

"His attitude, his wilingness to learn, to push himself and to get better. He was always pushing to improve and to go out on loan to get better.

"He had the chance to go to Norwich and he helped get them promoted from the Championship, helped to keep them in the Premier League and he is a guy I keep in touch with often. I look out for the Norwich results because I'm so excited for him and because I know how much hard work he has put in to get where he is.

"Seeing that pay-off, I feel like a proud big brother."
