Marouane Fellaini believes Everton were inefficient in their 1-0 home loss to Manchester United on Saturday.
The Toffees spurned a number of chances against the reigning champions and ended the match with eight shots on target to four but in the end came up short.
Fellaini admits it was an inadequate display up front from he and his teammates but hopes it can turn around when the Merseysiders travel to Newcastle United on Saturday.
"We're disappointed, it's always a difficult game against Manchester United but we had three or four chances to score but we couldn't," the Belgian told told the club's official website.
"Manchester United only made three or four chances but scored. It's not easy against a big team and we played well but couldn't score.
"If you don't score you can't win and when that happens you are less confident, but hopefully next Saturday we can win."
