Everton defender Sylvain Distin has called for more consistency from referees and their assistants in regards to off-the-ball grappling.
The Frenchman was involved in many ‘wrestling’ incidents in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Stoke City and feels that perhaps there could have been some better policing from the match officials.
“They just catch you all the time and grab you,” he said.
“It’s wrestling, it was tough. I think the ref could have a look at it. There is no consistency.”
