Everton's Coleman set to miss Merseyside derby

Everton have confirmed that Seamus Coleman is on the mend following a hamstring injury sustained on Monday night.

The Republic of Ireland right-back was forced off during the Toffees' 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns and picked up a 'minor soft tissue injury'.

"He (Coleman) has been closely monitored by Blues medical staff since then and has already begun his recovery," read a statement on the club's official website.

Coleman is expected to be sidlined for around two weeks meaning he is likely to miss the Merseyside derby with Liverpool at Anfield next week.
