Everton star Tim Cahill believes the entire opening weekend of Premier League action should be postponed.
Rioting and civil unrest in London, and other areas of England, this week has forced the Premier League to cancel Everton's away clash with Tottenham but Cahill feels it would be wise to delay the entire season by a week until everything settles and the emergency service workers get some time to relax.
"The main thing is, you have to think about the police who are working day in, day out," Cahill said.
"For us, if we have to sacrifice an extra week at the end of the season to finish off the games, then so be it."
