Everton star Tim Cahill is expected to become a serious stakeholder in the A-League's next expansion club, Sydney Rovers.
The Australian international will reportedly come in with critical financial backing for the greater western Sydney outfit who are behind the eight ball in terms of funding.
The Rovers' consortium of former players Ian Rowden, Peter Tredinnick and Charlie Yankos met with Cahill during Everton's pre-season tour to discuss the possibility of investing and reports suggest he is now finalising his involvement.
