Everton star Tim Cahill will return to Goodison Park just a week before the Merseyside derby with Liverpool on October 17.
Cahill has been called up to the Australian national team for the October 9 friendly with Paraguay in Sydney and will travel back to the UK the following day so he as at least a week to prepare for one of England's most fierce rivalries.
Cahill has had a slight knee problem in the early stages of this season which has forced him to miss two games as the Toffees have slumped to the foot of the Premier League table so manager David Moyes will be hoping he returns fully fit for the clash with Liverpool.
