Everton's Cahill keeps door ajar to potential Middle East shift

Tim Cahill has kept the door open for a possible future move to the Middle East.

Everton's Australian star has recently been linked with Saudi Arabian club Al Nasr and although he is contracted to the Toffees until 2014, is pondering the possibility of a shift to one of his favourite areas.

"I know what the experience is like. I have lived and breathed it," he told AAP.

"I have played in two Asia Cups and I have got great connections with a lot of important people overseas.

"I come on holiday in the Middle East a lot and I embrace the weather and the culture.

"All these sort of elements of speculation will be dealt with after camp (with the Socceroos),'' he added.

"It is always a compliment. I am a massive fan of the Middle East, the cultures, the people.

"I have travelled a lot and I respect them a lot. For me, it is just to focus on the Socceroos and we will see what happens later.''
