Everton star Tim Cahill says the Australian national team is planning to attack more under their new manager. The Socceroos had a swag of chances in Saturday morning's 0-0 draw with Switzerland in St Gallen in Holger Osieck's first game in charge and Cahill, who was guilty of spurning some of those himself, said Wednesday's clash with Poland will be another attacking affair.
"Scotty (McDonald) missed chances, I missed chances, Bretto (Holman) missed chances," Cahill told AAP.
"But the main thing is we are backing each other and trying to make sure we create more chances and really penetrate teams."
Australia take on Poland, ranked 56th in the world, in Krakow on Wednesday morning - kick-off is at 4:15am AEST.
