Tim Cahill could miss Saturday's Premier League clash with Sunderland because of an ankle injury. The 31-year old Australian star came off after 70 minutes of the weekend's FA Cup fourth round triumph over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and now may miss the Goodison Park fixture with the Black Cats.
The Toffees' leading scorer this term may not be risked by David Moyes as the Merseysiders than take on Reading in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Tuesday before the March 5 trip to Newcastle.
Everton currently sits 13th on the league table whilst Sunderland are seven points ahead in seventh.
