Everton’s Anichebe cut from Nigeria’s World Cup squad

Everton striker Victor Anichebe has been omitted from Nigeria’s final squad for the World Cup.

The 22-year old, along with Real Zaragoza’s Ike Uche were the most notable names that missed out for the Super Eagles who are being guided by Swedish manager Lars Lagerback.

Despite missing the end of the season for Chelsea with a knee injury, John Obi Mikel was included in the final 23.
