FC Basle defender Behrang Safari is expected to leave the Swiss club in January.

The Swede has been watched by Fulham, while Liverpool scout Jakob Friis-Hansen confirmed their interest last month.

There are claims Safari has already agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund, but that is wide of the mark.

The 25 year-old is represented by former Blackburn Rovers striker Martin Dahlin, who has also revealed Everton are interested.
