Everton have joined the battle for Ajax defender Jairo Riedewald.

The Daily Mail says Everton are discussing a move for Riedewald.

The 20-year-old is also a target for Crystal Palace and was expected to move to London in a £8.6million move.

However, Ronald Koeman also wants the versatile Holland international who is adept at playing left-back, centre-back and defensive midfield where he played under Peter Bosz.

Riedewald has three caps for his country and scored one goal in 27 appearances for Ajax last season.
