Everton rival Chelsea for ADO Den Haag defender Wilfred Kanon

Ivory Coast defender Wilfred Kanon is attracting interest from Everton.

The Mirror says Everton boss Sam Allardyce is keen on ADO Den Haag stopper Kanon.

The 24-year-old centre back is understood to be among a number of targets being lined up by the Everton boss should he stay at Goodison Park.

Chelsea are also interested with David Luiz set to leave, Gary Cahill's future uncertain and the club unwilling to break the bank for higher-calibre targets.

Den Haag manager of football affairs, Jeffrey van As, said: “We are very satisfied with Wilfried, but ADO can never be the final destination for an international of Ivory Coast. We also said that when he signed up here last year for five years. We are waiting for what is going to happen."
