Everton reserves coach Stubbs happy seeing kids get their senior chance

Everton reserves coach Alan Stubbs was happy seeing so many youngsters involved in the first team's draw with Aston Villa.

Stubbs wants his young charges to learn from the kind of experiences they were afforded during their bench duty at the weekend - and be ready if David Moyes decides to throw them on.

"Hopefully it will give them a lot, but the one thing you can't give them is experience," he told evertontv.

"The fact that they are in and around the first team tells you more about the injury situation than anything else - let's not kid ourselves along.

"But they are there, the gaffer's got to use them, there's a chance they could be called upon and they've got to make sure they are ready.

"They have to keep doing it because if they don't someone else will get the chance."
