Everton reserves coach Andy Holden was delighted to see striker James Vaughan score in their clash with Middlesbrough this week.
He told evertonTV: "He showed smashing composure, and long may it continue because he's got to do more than that if he's going to get a start position in the first team.
"He's got to be more composed on the ball, he's got to start growing up a little bit more, but he's getting there, and probably could have ended up scoring the winner with a header late on in the game."
"It was good to get a goal," Vaughan told evertonfc.com.
"I felt good after the game and getting games under my belt is important for my match fitness."
