Everton have rejected a £4.5 million offer from Russia's Rubin Kazan for midfielder Stephen Pienaar.
Kazan coach Kurban Burdyev has been a long-time admirer of former Ajax man Pienaar.
Sources in Russia say they made a &poumd;4.5 million bid but it was turned down by Everton chairman Bill Kenwright.
Burdyev stated his intent last month when he said: "Pienaar is at Everton, but he doesn't always play."
However, the player has figured strongly since his return from an ankle injury and manager David Moyes said: "We're not intending to sell."
