Everton register their interest with Marseille for Lucho Gonzalez

Everton have registered their interest with Olympique Marseille for Lucho Gonzalez.

Everton have approached Marseille for the Argentine, who is likely to leave in January, as they seek a replacement for Mikel Arteta, now of Arsenal.

Marseille president Vincent Labrune has informed Everton he wants £2.5 million for the midfield schemer.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he tried for Gonzalez in August.
