Everton refuse to give up their chase for Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi.

The Daily Mail says Everton plan to sign the 20-year-old this month and loan him to Standard's rivals Anderlecht.

The idea to send him to Anderlecht is proving a stumbling block in negotiations between the Merseysiders and Standard.

But Batshuayi's current club will be powerless to stop Everton completing a deal if they meet his £6.7million release clause.
