Everton ready to BAN Blackburn's Diouf from Goodison Park

Everton are considering a BAN on Blackburn Rovers striker El Hadji Diouf.

The News of the World says the Merseyside club have demanded an apology from Diouf after he claimed supporters inside Goodison Park showered him with bananas.

The Blackburn striker has not responded to Everton's demand and is still the subject of a police inquiry into his behaviour during the game.

But Everton's fury over Diouf's claim is so strong that officials within the club believe they should take their own action against the Senegalese star.

Everton immediately swept the stadium for bananas after the game but found no evidence to support Diouf's claims.

Goodison boss David Moyes and senior club figures are outraged by his comments, considering false allegations of racism as serious as allegations of racism.

Any attempt by a Premier League club to impose their own ban on a player from another club would be fiercely challenged by the governing body.

And Diouf has been supported by his manager Sam Allardyce, who is now waiting for the outcome of the police inquiry.
