Everton are chasing Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

The Mail on Sunday says Everton remain keen on Schmeichel though the Premier League champions will demand close to £20million.

Leicester have been lining up signings in the face of interest in their title-winning side. They signed Nampalys Mendy ahead of selling N'Golo Kante to Chelsea for £30million and signed Ron-Robert Zieler amid interest in Schmeichel.

The 29-year-old has been in discussions over a new contract but may be tempted by Everton's new project under Ronald Koeman.
