Everton are spending today attempting to close a deal for Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry.
The Mail on Sunday says Everton are closing in on a loan move for City midfielder Barry, who was not part of Manuel Pellegrini's squad during today's 2-0 victory over Hull.
Everton are hoping to close a deal before Monday's deadline, but the Toffees are hoping that Manchester City will continue to pay a considerable portion Barry's £125,000-a-week wages.
