Everton midfielder Ross Barkley is enjoying his loan at Sheffield Wednesday.

Barkley admits his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday is doing him good after scooping the Yorkshire club's player of the month award for October.

"I have really enjoyed my time here so far," said the 18-year-old upon receiving his award. "I feel as if I have made a lot of progress and that is the most important thing.

"The manager [Dave Jones] and the coaching staff talk to me all the time and that's a great help. I am playing regular football at a good level in the Championship so I am really pleased with how things are going."
