Everton are considering raiding France's lower leagues for a new defensive signing.

Le Parisian says Everton are weighing up a move for Paris FC left-back Thomas Delaine this summer.

Delaine has been an almost ever-present for the Ligue 2 side this season having joined from Fourth Division side Arras last summer.

And Everton have sent scouts to watch the full-back.

Delaine is out of contract at the end of the season and could prove a bargain long-term replacement for club legend Leighton Baines.
