Everton manager Roberto Martinez has denied claims that Samuel Eto'o is set to leave the club this winter.
Reports have suggested that the Cameroonian striker will leave Goodison Park for Italian side Sampdoria in January but Martinez has played down the speculation.
"I know there has been a lot of speculation but we have had no contact and no conversations about that issue," the Spaniard told Sky Sports News HQ.
"At the moment Samuel is working really well. He is always a strong influence in the day-to-day work of the club and there is nothing to comment on there."
Since arriving on Merseyside in the summer, former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea forward Eto'o has scored four goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees.
