Everton are planning to go after Mohamed Diame in the summer transfer window.
The Mirror suggests that Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is looking to reunite with the Senegalese midfielder who played under the Spaniard at Wigan Athletic between 2009 and 2012.
It is believed that Martinez sees Diame as the perfect replacement for Gareth Barry who returns to Manchester City next month following his season-long loan at Goodison Park.
The former Rayo Vallecano man is under contract at Upton Park until June 2015 but Everton are reportedly prepared to meet his £3.5million release clause.
